Oh wow, I appreciated the discussion of craft so much. I often have to fight the urge to ask myself, "Has a writer done this before? Is this okay?" if I'm trying something a bit out of the box, and reading about her just going, "Whelp, never messed so much with POV, let's give it a go!" is really freeing. The intense intention of writing style is also fascinating. One of my favorite interviews!
This book sounds amazing! It was great to hear the author's process, and I have so much respect for the amount of time she put into the book. I particularly love this line: "But I’ve found writing is like building a bridge over quicksand in this way; better to keep working rather than spending too much time thinking conceptually about bridges while you sink in."
