Good article. Thanks for sharing it. I received some great advice from a former literary agent on how to find one. She said to look up your favorite authors in your genre, find out who their agents are, then submit to that agent's assistant. The assistants get paid more if they successfully find a brilliant new voice for their agent to represent, so they are hungry for those voices. Writer submissions tend to have better success with enthusiastic assistants (partly because agents are so bogged with with submissions).
