Tethered by Letters is proud to announce our second annual Fall Flash Fiction Competition. Beginning on July 1st, 2013, TBL will be accepting flash fictions of any genre with a word limit of either 55, 250, or 500 words.

 

The winner will receive a $50.00 USDA prize and be featured in the Spring Edition of Tethered by Letters literary journal. There is a $4.00 reading fee per entry, or you may choose to submit three entries for $10.00.

 

Multiple submissions are welcomed and encouraged. TBL does not accept previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are accepted. Please notify TBL if your flash fiction is accepted for publication elsewhere.

Deadline: September 30th, 2013. Midnight EST.

 

Awards: 1st prize receives $50.00 and publication as the featured flash fiction in our Literary Journal. Five finalists will be considered for subsequent quarterly journal publications and win free edits from one of our Senior Editors.

 

Submission fee: There is a $4.00 USDA entry fee for each individual submission or a $10.00 USDA entry fee for three flash fictions.

 

Judging: All submissions will be judged by the professional editing team at TBL and the winner will be announced publicly in October, 2013. All participants will be notified about the contest results by email from TBL judges by October 15th, 2013. Judges decisions are final.
